When you execute an internet speed test on MyNetSpeedCheck, our system automatically processes technical metrics strictly required to measure your connection quality:

• Network Performance Telemetry: Measured download speed (Mbps), upload speed (Mbps), latency/ping (ms), jitter variance (ms), and bufferbloat ratings.
• IP Address & Geolocation: Used transiently to detect your approximate geographic region (City/Country) and Autonomous System Number (ASN) to select the closest test node and identify your Internet Service Provider (ISP). We do not store precise physical street locations.
• Browser & Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution to adapt the canvas speedometer rendering engine.

We do not require user registration, email logins, phone numbers, or credit card details to use our core diagnostic tools.

4. Log Files & Web Analytics

MyNetSpeedCheck follows standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
